Young Musician: The Trumpet Kid
I feel awesome when I play trumpet. I feel a connection....It's like walking. It becomes you. It's just like everyday breathing - you don't think about it, you just do it...
I first fell in love with the trumpet after listening to Gil Evans - Saeta in the motion picture soundtrack for The Salton Sea. Today, I'm proud to share with you all Gabriel Angelo. This young cool cat has unlocked the mystery of a wind instrument. Gabriel loves to practice his trumpet and entertain on-going by standers leaving them amazed. Almost everyday after school, along with his mother, he makes his way to his favorite spot in front of a parking garage in San Francisco. There is no doubt that Gabriel's talent will take him to great heights. He has already been recognized by another great trumpeter Arturo Sandoval. Some of this young artist influences include Louis Armstrong and Dizzie Gillespie. Check out this young cat on the video below and unlock the mystery for yourself..
